1923 Switzerland 5 Francs

Year: 1923

Mint: Bern

Country: Switzerland

Denomination: 5 Francs

Weight: 25 g

Mintage: 11,300,000

Certification: PCGS AU58

Km # 37

Comments: The figure on the obverse if often erroneously thought to be William Tell, but it actually a depiction of a common mountain shepherd, designed by Paul Burkard. I found a paper (in German) on the design of the coin on the Swiss Mint website here.

1819 Brazil 960 Reis

Year: 1819

Mint: Rio de Janeiro

Country: Brazil

Denomination: 960 Reis

Weight: 27.0700 g

Mintage: Unknown

Certification: NGC AU50

Km # 326.1

Comments: Minted under the reign of King John VI of Portugal. Most of these coins were struck over Spanish Colonial 8 Reales. I can see a trace of an old design in the fields but not enough for me to identify it.

2007 China Panda 10 Yuan

Year: 2007

Country: China

Denomination: 10 Yuan

Weight: 31.22 g

Comments: Obverse features the Temple of Heaven. Reverse features a different design every year featuring pandas. China started minting these silver bullion coins in 1983, the early pandas are relatively low mintage and fairly hard to come by these days. I started picking these up yearly in 2005. Probably the only "year set" that I plan to keep up with.
