1870 Spain 5 Peseta

Year: 1870

Country: Spain

Mint: Madrid (6 Pointed Star)

Denomination: 5 Pesetas

Mintage: 5,923,000

Weight: 25 g

Silver Composition: .900

Certification: PCGS VF35

Km # 655

Comments: Obverse features Allegory reclined between Pyrenees and Gibraltar, with an olive branch. Reverse features Crowned arms between pillars. This is a bit lower grade coin than I usually collect but I love the design and these are tough to find in higher grades.

aguila011788,

If you do in fact have an authentic 1869 5 Peseta then you have a very valuable coin. There were only 100 5 Pesetas minted in 1869 and the coin has a catalog value of $50,000 in uncirculated condition
