I recently changed what I collect to focus on world silver crowns. I was really drawn to the large coins with beautiful designs where many can be purchased fairly inexpensively. I try to purchase certified coins in grades of AU58 or above or at an affordable grade. So follow me on my quest to assemble my collection of Silver Crowns.
Catalog value of this coin is $12.50 US in uncirculated conditon. But silver is running at almost $20/ounce so you are probably looking at bullion value
The Texas Rangers use this coin to make their badges. On the front they change it to say Dpt. of Public Safety Rangers. But on the back it clearly still has the original coin stamping of 'Estados Unidos Mexicanos'. I find that interesting.
